How Long Does a Windscreen Repair Take?

There is no single repair time that applies to every windscreen. Damage shape, size, location, access, queue and the repair method can change the visit. MSIG’s 2023 campaign FAQ said repairs in that campaign typically took less than an hour; it is a dated insurer estimate, not a Winspro service-time guarantee.

A repairer should first inspect whether the damage is suitable for repair. Ask for a current estimate when booking and allow extra time for assessment or insurer paperwork. If the damage affects the driver’s view or is spreading, seek professional advice instead of deciding from size alone.
